Pubs - Being a local bunch of lads with a bit of a liking for Real Ale and a regular Wednesday night ride that always has a pub stop we have a few pubs that are on our hit list.

(William 4th at Little London October 2009 - Laura, Brian, Charlie Toby).
From the Villagers at Blackheath to the Dolphine at Betchworth and the William 4th at Mickleham to the William 4th above Shere at Little London. The Vollunteer at Sutton Abinger, the Abinger Hatch at Abinger Common and of course the Stephen Langton at Friday Street. Not forgetting the Crown at Westcott and our two favorites - The Kings Head at Holmbury and The Plough at Coldharbour
Martyn, Mike and Mark at a pub but not one of those mentioned above. This was at the Duke of Cumberland in a small village called Henley. It was a afternoon stop on our cycle trip from Westcott to stay at the camp site at Graffham near Petworth. This is a two day route we try and do every summer which involves about 120 miles of biking and several pubs and makes for a fun weekend.

Ah, the Volunteer at Sutton Abinger. This was once a superb little pub which although still very nice has lost a bit of its charm for me. However, we still pay a visit every now and again and it always has a decent pint (Badger beers only) and often nice barmaids. This picture was taken for my friend Martyn who lived near by untill moving to the Pyrenees - we still visit upon his returns and he still misses it.
As you can see despite weekly biking visits to local pubs over the past 15 years at least, I am struggling to find any decent photos. This one is of our Christmas meal in the Plough at Coldharbour back in 2005. The past two years we have started using the Kings Head for this event so I'll try and get some better photos this time.
George and Mark enjoying a fine pint in the Stephen Langton at Friday Street on a winter night ride. This makes a great place to stop with its roaring fire and great beer, its nearly always fairly quiet and like all the other pubs mentioned here they don't give us any problems no matter how muddy we are.

Outside the Plough Inn at the Start of my Stag pub crawl/ride which culminated back at the Plough later that night. Fun was had by all despite the miserable April rain.

George, Brian and Mark all dressed for the occasion at the start having the first of many beers in the Plough.
