Ride I live in dorking and ride a lot. want to join up for a ride some time? Posted by Simon Raistrick on 25 November 2009  pub and bike Hi enjoyed reading your site. We are planning a trip to surrey hills/norh downs and are looking for a long fun trail for sat overnight in a nice little pub and a quick blast in the am before home. Any recommendations? A mate of mine mentioned Surrey Hills as "the place." Can someone throw me some information on trails, maps, etc. I'll be bringing everything but my bike...hiring one out from a local shop. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Ron Posted by Ron Leland on 08 June 2009 Hello Ron - The riding down here in the 'Surrey Hills' is probably going to surprise you as to just how good it is. However, to get the most out of the area you'll really need to join up with some locals who no doubt will but some excellent routes together. In answer to your question, I'd suggest you go into Nirvana Cycles in Westcott. They have maps for sale, do loads of free to join guided rides virtually every day of the week and also do hire bikes. Details for all this can be found on there website.
